Answers follow below:

  1. I paid for a prior membership under the previous operator...

We have received a number of requests from former patrons regarding credit for memberships and court time that they paid for under prior ownership but did not receive.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate those requests, as we are literally starting the operation over "from scratch" as an Airport-operated facility.  We understand and sympathize with those who were left by the previous operator, because he also left the Airport and Township with over $15,000 in unpaid rent, back taxes, and utilities as well as thousands of dollars in damage to the facility that has to be repaired.

  2. What are the hours and fees?

For hours and fees related to members and non-members, please click here.  For hours and fees related to Clinics, Leagues, or Lessons, please click here.

  3. What is the mailing address?  What is the building address of the Tennis Center?   Where are you located?  What is the Tennis Center phone number?

Mail should be sent to:  Grosse Ile Tennis Center, 9251 Groh Rd., Grosse Ile, MI 48138, which is also the building location at the Grosse Ile Airport.  The Tennis Center phone number is
    734-362-PLAY (7529).

  4. Are refreshments available at the Center?

Yes.  In this phase of the program, there are vending machines available with bottled water, health snacks, fruit juices, and pop.

  5. Are restroom and changing facilities available?  How about lockers?

Yes, restroom and changing facilities are available.  Because of the cost of the renovations, no lockers will be available during this phase of the program but will be part of a future phase.

  6. Are the courts heated?

Yes, a new heating system is installed.  It should distribute heat evenly, unlike the old system.
