The Grosse Ile Commerce Park was transferred from the U.S. Government in 1970 for the purposes of producing income for the Township, to defray the cost of maintenance and operations of the Grosse Ile Municipal Airport.

Vision Statement: "The area shall be a controlled organization of uses which are well designed, financially self-supporting and environmentally conscious in order to be sensitive to the surrounding land uses and realize the appropriate development of the Airport/Commerce Park as a community asset."
